Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
Brothers and sisters in Christ, the gospel tells us that God, by the leading of a star, manifested the Savior to the peoples of the earth, and, by the power that enabled Christ to change water into wine, made known his glory to the disciples. Come then to the joyful feast of the Lord and be transformed.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right for us to give thanks and praise.
In sending Christ, the light of the world, you revealed your glory to the nations. You sent a star to guide seekers of wisdom to Bethlehem, that they might worship Christ. Your signs and witnesses in every age lead people from every place to worship him. We praise you that in him we become your children, baptized into your service.
Therefore we proclaim our faith as signed and sealed in this sacrament:
Christ has died,
Christ is risen,
Christ will come again.
The bread that we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.
We who are many are one body, for we all share the same loaf.
The cup for which we give thanks is a sharing in the blood of Christ.
The cup that we drink is our participation in the blood of Christ.
The gifts of God for the people of God.
The body of Christ, given for you.
Thanks be to God.
The blood of Christ, shed for you.
Thanks be to God.

*Called and Blessed to Serve
Christ is the light of our souls:
We rejoice in this light, great source of truth.
Christ is the light of our homes:
We rejoice in this light, great source of peace.
Christ is the light of the world:
We rejoice in this light, great source of hope.
Go out as Christ’s true lights, dispersing the darkness of evil,
for his grace, his power, his peace go with you.
Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Our worship this morning includes a celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Jesus gave this gift to all who are citizens of his kingdom. If you have publicly professed your allegiance to Jesus as Savior and Lord and your life testifies to this profession, please receive the bread and cup as they are distributed to all. We will eat and drink together after all have been served.
The second offering this morning is for Project Concern, our local clothing bank where several of our members volunteer their time and energy. In addition to clothes, they also have some household goods and occasionally food which is available to people in need. They always appreciate and need our generous support.
