WE ENTER INTO GOD’S PRESENCE
Preparation for Worship
Call to Worship –
Our hearts are ready, O Lord, our hearts are ready!
We will sing and make melody! We will awaken the dawn!
We will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples,
we will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens,
and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Call to Confession – Micah 6:6-8
Prayer of Confession –
God of love and justice, we long for peace within and peace without. We long for harmony in our families, for serenity in the midst of struggle. We long for the day when our homes will be a dwelling place for your love. Yet we confess that we are often anxious, we do not trust each other, and we harbor violence. We are not willing to take the risks and make the sacrifices that love requires. Look upon us with kindness and grace. Rule in our homes and in all the world; show us how to walk in your paths, through the mercy of our Savior. Amen.

THIS WEEK IN THE LIFE OF VALLEY CHURCH
We are pleased to welcome Messianic Rabbi Ron Goldberg back to Valley Church as he brings us God’s Word this morning. The Gelders are in Michigan this weekend as Betsy enjoys her annual trip to Camp Sunshine. They will be back late Monday evening.
Wednesday, 11:30 AM Women’s Luncheon at Cracker Barrel
Thursday, 7:00 PM Prayer Meeting
The second offering next Sunday will be for our CHOW Pantry here at Valley Church. Your monetary support will allow our coordinators to buy items that have not been donated and which are needed to provide a balanced food source for our clients.
The new windows that will be installed upstairs have arrived. That means it is time for getting them stained and coated with polyurethane. The more volunteer help we have with this, the lower the total cost to the church. If you can help for even a part of a day, talk with Dave Huizinga or Jim Conrad as soon as possible.
A dozen people from Valley Church are attending the Willow Creek Summit this Thursday through Saturday, viewing it by satellite feed to Believers’ Chapel in Syracuse (Cicero). Pray for safety as they travel back and forth each day and for good insights into how God may be leading us at Valley into the future.
Thank you to all who shared the planning and facilitating of the youth activity yesterday.
Next Sunday, August 5, 2007
MORNING WORSHIP: 10:00 AM Our worship will be led by elder Bill Kutz. His message will be based on Revelation 1:9-20, helping us to hear Christ’s message to his church today. The Gelders are on vacation this week and part of next week. Please contact an elder if pastoral care is needed in their absence.
