WE ENTER INTO GOD’S PRESENCE
Preparation for Worship
*Call to Worship
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.
For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
for he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.  (Psalm 95:1-7)
*Opening Praise – “Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory”
*God Greets Us
*We Greet Others

Call to Confession – Psalm 20:7
Prayer of Confession
Righteous God, you have crowned Jesus Christ as Lord of all.  We confess that we have not bowed before him and are slow to acknowledge his rule.  We give allegiance to the powers of this world and fail to be governed by justice and love.  In your mercy, forgive us.  Raise us to acclaim him as ruler of all, that we may be loyal ambassadors, obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Assurance of Pardon – Revelation 5:5, 9-10
*Song of Response – 593:1,4,5 “My Song Forever Shall Record”

Prayer of Preparation
Scripture Reading – Psalm 33
Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Praise the Lord with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.
(vs. 4-19 – reader)
We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.

We still need more helpers with children’s church for the summer months.  The summer program involves showing and discussing a video and serving a snack.  The videos for each week are listed on the sign up sheet on the door.  This is a great opportunity for people who do not usually teach a class or lead the children’s church to give the regulars a break.  Sign up for a week or two – the list is on the door.  Thank you to those who are already signed up.

There are sign up sheets on the door where you can indicate which summer Sunday you will provide some after-service refreshments.  Since worship starts earlier during July and August, there is also more time following to stay for a bite and conversation, but only if volunteers sign up to provide them.  The Fellowship team appreciates your help in this.

Jerry Krempel is still at Binghamton General Hospital.  A recurring fever has postponed his planned discharge.  Pray for successful treatment of the infection and for more encouraging news in the next few days.

Matt Martinichio is slowly recovering from his accident and subsequent surgery.  He is still at Wilson Hospital but is improving every day.  Join him and his family in thanking God for sparing his life and for the healing he is already experiencing.

Pray for the Stoddard families as they deal with the advanced cancer discovered throughout Barbara Stoddard’s body.  Barb is Mike’s mother and Tyler’s grandmother.

Please add Jim Wilson’s name to the list of those needing ongoing prayer.  Thanks.

There is no softball game today due to the holiday weekend.

NEXT SUNDAY, July 11, 2010
MORNING WORSHIP:  10:00 AM   Pastor Gelder will lead our worship, continuing the observance of “Ordinary Time”.  The focus this week is on “Living Ethically”, based on Exodus 15:26.
We will observe the Lord’s Supper at this service.  Take time this week to review your walk with God and God’s people.  Communion is a blessing to all who have professed Jesus as their personal Savior and who are living in obedience to his lordship.
The softball game will be at 5:00 PM at the KAA field, playing the Don’s Automotive team.
