ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today we honor those young people in the Valley Church family who graduated this year.  Graduates from Chenango Forks High School are Tyler Kutz (on to BCC), Casey Redfern (to Albany College of Pharmacy) and Tyler Serva (to BCC).  Graduating from Greene High School is Jayne Vermaat (to Calvin College).  Congratulations to all and may God bless each one as they move on to new challenges and opportunities in the coming year.  The refreshments following the service are in their honor.

Sunday, 4:00 PM Softball game at Schnurbusch Park with St. John & Andrew
Wednesday, 6:00 AM Men’s breakfast and Bible study at the Spot

We still need more helpers with children’s church for the summer months.  The summer program involves showing and discussing a video and serving a snack.  The videos for each week are listed on the sign up sheet on the door.  This is a great opportunity for people who do not usually teach a class or lead the children’s church to give the regulars a break.  Sign up for a week or two – the list is on the door.  Thank you to those who are already signed up.

There are sign up sheets on the door where you can indicate which summer Sunday you will provide some after-service refreshments.  Since worship starts earlier during July and August, there is also more time following to stay for a bite and conversation, but only if volunteers sign up to provide them.  The Fellowship team appreciates your help in this.

Jerry Krempel is doing well in the rehab unit at Binghamton General Hospital.  Plans are that he will return home on Friday.  Give thanks for regained strength and pray that he will be able to be back with us in worship soon.

For continued prayer, include Inger as well as Dick Thomas.

NEXT SUNDAY, July 4, 2010
MORNING WORSHIP:  10:00 AM   Pastor Gelder will lead our worship, continuing the observance of “ordinary time” by beginning a July series on “Our World Belongs to God”, with focus this week on all nations under God’s rule based on Psalm 33:12-15.
There will be no softball game due to the holiday weekend.
