THIS WEEK IN THE LIFE OF VALLEY CHURCH
Today we are encouraging everyone to take part in Operation Andrew (or Operation Andy for the children) as a significant part of the preparations for the Franklin Graham Festival this summer. In addition to viewing a short video introducing this, you will receive a brochure where you can begin a list of the names of friends you will pray for and try to invite to attend the Festival with you.
Thank God for the good response to the “Rock the City” concert last Sunday. Thank you to those who gave money so that at least nineteen people from Valley (youth, friends and adult leaders) were able to attend. Many youth responded to the call to commitment, including several from our church and their friends. Pray for them as they begin or advance in their walk with Christ.
Wednesday, 11:30 AM Women’s Luncheon at Cracker Barrel
Thursday, 7:00 PM Elders meet
Friday, 7:30 PM Youth Lock-in at Church
Are you regularly checking out Valley Church’s web site? It’s located at www.valleycrc.com? If this is to be a meaningful tool for communication within the congregation and to our world, we need to use it regularly and include pertinent and interesting material for people to look at. Would you want to submit information about church events or happenings in the lives of church members? What about pictures of small group or regular church events? If this type of serving touches a warm spot in your heart, talk with Ron Crawford and see how you can help make this a more useful tool.
There will be a Youth Lock-in at church, starting at 7:30 PM Friday and concluding at 8:00 AM Saturday. If you haven’t already done so, contact Amy Cook for more information, including supplies needed and permission slips.

Maundy Thursday Communion service, 7:30 PM

Next Sunday, April 1, 2007
SUNDAY SCHOOL: 9:45 AM Sunday School classes for all ages. The adults will conclude the video study of the book Just Walk Across the Room. This material fits in very well with our participation in the Franklin Graham Festival.
MORNING WORSHIP: 11:00 AM Our Palm Sunday worship will be led by Pastor Gelder. He will continue the series of messages for Lent which will center on biblical passages that mention tears. The theme for this week will be “Holy Tears: From the Lips of Children” based on Matthew 21:15-16. The Sunday School children will also be presenting “The Easter Miracle”, a short musical celebration, as part of our worship
