Christ, have mercy.
You make one by your Spirit the torn and divided:
Lord, have mercy.  Amen.

WE RESPOND WITH THANKSGIVING
Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
             The Lord be with you.
             And also with you.
             Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right for us to give thanks and praise.
With joy we praise you, gracious God, for you created all things, made us in your image, and loved us, even when we fell into sin.  With joy we give thanks for Jesus Christ, our Lord, who by his life, death and resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life.  So we proclaim the glory of your name.
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might; heaven and earth are full of your glory.  Hosanna in the highest.
In fulfillment of Christ’s promise, you poured out the Holy Spirit upon the chosen disciples and filled the church with power.  We thank you  for sending your Spirit to us today to kindle faith and lead us into all truth, working in the church to make us faithful disciples and empowering us to proclaim the living Christ to every nation.
Let us then proclaim our faith.
Christ has died,
Christ is risen,
Christ will come again.
God of all power, send your Holy Spirit upon us, that in sharing the bread we may share in the body of Christ, that in sharing the cup we may share in his blood.  Grant that, being joined together in Christ Jesus, we may become united in faith and in all things become mature in the one who is our head.
Amen.
The bread that we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.
We who are many are one body, for we all share the same loaf.
The cup for which we give thanks is a sharing in the blood of Christ.
The cup that we drink is our participation in the blood of Christ.
The gifts of God for the people of God.
The body of Christ, the bread of heaven.
Thanks be to God.
The blood of Christ, the cup of salvation.
Thanks be to God.
