We give you thanks, great God, for the hope we have in Jesus, who died but is risen and rules over all.

Lord, bring new life where we are worn and tired;
new love where we have turned hard-hearted;
forgiveness where we feel hurt and where we have wounded; and the joy and freedom of your Holy Spirit where we are prisoners of ourselves.

Assurance of Pardon
To all and to each, on his community and on his friends, where regret is real, Jesus pronounces his pardon and grants us the right to begin again.
Thanks be to God! Amen!

Parents’ Night Out is this Saturday from 5:30 – 8:30 PM. There will again be fun activities for children from nursery through grade 5. Parents, while this is a fun evening for your children, the real purpose is to give you a block of time when you can relax, knowing your children are well cared for. If you plan to take advantage of this activity, please register your children today or no later than Friday morning. If you can help with one of the activities, talk with Judy Crawford today.
Next Sunday there will be another “Soup and Bread” lunch after the morning service. All are welcome to stay for this simple but enjoyable time of fellowship. Talk with Sue Brown today if you can bring a pot of soup, some bread, or a dessert. Following the lunch, Ron Crawford will again present the material he has prepared on “Generations” and how understanding the different generational groups in society and in our church can help us live and work together better. If you weren’t able to attend when he presented this in February or if you want to take it in again, here’s your opportunity.
Save Saturday, May 9 for the Celebration Tea.
Women’s retreat at Baldwinsville is this Saturday, April 25. Talk with Ann De Jager about transportation and time.
The Broome County Council of Churches is sponsoring a “Festival of Hope” next Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Johnson City.
