Call to Confession
In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him! (Isaiah30:15, 18)
In the strength of this assurance, let us confess our sins to God.
Prayer of Confession
Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Through Christ, our lord. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
The God who challenges us is also the God who encourages us.
The God who confronts us is also the God who accepts us.
Be assured that God is with us even now, accepting, guiding, and forgiving.
Thanks be to God.

*Call to Service and Blessing
As we prepare to leave this place, hear now God’s invitation to a life of Christian discipleship.
God has shown you what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord and his people.
We will go to love and serve.
Thanks be to God.

The Gelders will be leaving Saturday for two weeks of vacation. Mr. Charles Kuperus and Rev. Hank Vlaardingerbroek will be bringing us God’s Word the two Sundays that pastor is gone. If you need pastoral care during that time, please contact one of the elders.
We received the following note this week from former members Barry and Linda Foster:
We want to thank you for the love and care you showered on us with your prayers, cards and Pastor Al’s grave-side service for our Mom, Gert Foster. We’ve celebrated her earthly life and now her new home in heaven. God bless you, dear friends. Barry and Linda Foster and family
Matt Martinichio still has quite a bit of pain but is continuing his recovery from the accident and subsequent surgery. Keep him and the family in prayer.
