WE CONFESS OUR SINS
adapted from a Celtic Prayer
Call to Confession –
Leader: O God, listen to our prayer. Let our earnest petition and confession come to you, for we know that you hear us.

Prayer of Confession –
Leader: There are things amiss in our souls, leading us toward death. May you, O God, sweep them from us, and may you shield us in the blood of your love.
People: Let no thought come to our hearts,
Let no sound come to our ears,
Let no temptation come to our eyes,
Let no fragrance come to our noses,
Let no fancy come to our minds,
Let no ruffle come to our spirits,
That is hurtful to our poor bodies this day,
Nor ill for our souls at the hour of our death.

Assurance of Pardon –
Pastor: Your God, the God of life, is at your breast. He is at your back. He is as a star to guide you, from your life's beginning to your life's closing.
People: Amen.
