ANNOUNCEMENTS
We must take time in our worship today to join with people around the world pleading with God for the people of Haiti. Our prayers go out to them as they deal with the incredible devastation following the earthquake. We thank God for sparing the lives of the Van Dams and other CRC staff members in Haiti. May God bless the efforts of private and governmental agencies as they provide relief and assistance to this suffering nation.
Just this Wednesday we received a package from World Missions with new prayer cards to help us remember to pray for the Van Dams. You will receive one during the service this morning. Please post it in a prominent place (your refrigerator or bathroom mirror) as a reminder to pray for them, especially now as they need great wisdom in knowing how to care for their family and minister to the needs of the people of Haiti.

Joel, Robin and Jennifer Vermaat thank their many friends at Valley Church for the overwhelming outpouring of support that came their way after the tragic death of their son and brother Peter. Your presence at the funeral home, cards, calls and especially your prayers have enabled them to carry on.
The deacons have decided to receive a special offering for Haiti Disaster Response this morning. Some cash has been given to Etienne Germain to use as he returns to Haiti this week. The rest will be sent to CRWRC or another of the mainline relief agencies on the ground in Haiti. You can bring your offerings the next two Sundays if you are not able to give today. Be sure to designate your check for “Haiti Relief” in the memo line.
The youth group will be going tubing at Greek Peak this afternoon, following a quick lunch of pizza after the morning service. We hope they all have a safe and fun time.
