Call to Confession
We know that nothing is able to separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ. Let us in freedom confess the wrong we have done.
Prayer of Confession
Our lives are cluttered, Lord Jesus, by too many things and too much to do. We are driven by the need to succeed and distracted from our service. We have often lost our way. Forgive us. Let us, like Mary, find the one thing that is needed and sit at your feet. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
Hear the good news!
This saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, that we might be dead to sin, and alive to all that is good.
I declare to you in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
Thanks be to God!

THIS WEEK IN THE LIFE OF VALLEY CHURCH
We are pleased to welcome Pastor Michael and Deibi Lapian and their four children to Valley Church this morning. The Lapians are leading the Indonesian Christian Reformed Church in Dover, New Hampshire. Our church extended them a call to this ministry several years ago and just over a week ago their application for permanent resident status in the US was approved by the immigration authorities. We praise God for this answered prayer. Pastor Lapian will bring the message, Deibi will share some of their ministry, and their daughter Michelle will sing two special songs. At the close of the service we will commission them for continuing ministry with the Indonesian community in New England.
Please join us for an all-church picnic after the morning service. This will also give us another opportunity to talk with the Lapians, learning more about their ministry in the Indonesian community and giving them an opportunity to get to know us better as well. We will be enjoying spiedies and lots of other good foods. All are welcome.
The second offering this morning is for the Holistic Ministry Team of Classis Atlantic Northeast. Money raised by this team goes to help churches like the Indonesian Church to better impact their communities with a ministry that impacts both the body and soul for Christ. Greg Huck is a member of this team and can give you more information about its work.
