WE RESPOND WITH THANKSGIVING
Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right for us to give thanks and praise.
With joy we praise you, gracious God, for you created heaven and earth, made us in your image, and kept covenant with us – even when we fell into sin. We give you thanks for Jesus Christ, our Lord, who by his life, death and resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life. Therefore we join our voices with all the saints and angels and the whole creation to proclaim the glory of your name.
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus:
Dying, you destroyed our death;
rising, you restored our life.
Lord Jesus, come in glory.
God of all power, send your Holy Spirit upon us, that in sharing the bread we may share in the body of Christ, that in sharing the cup we may share in his blood. Grant that being joined together in Christ Jesus, we may become united in faith and in all things become mature in the one who is our head.
Amen.
The bread that we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.
We who are many are one body, for we all share the same loaf.
The cup for which we give thanks is a sharing in the blood of Christ.
The cup that we drink is our participation in the blood of Christ.
The gifts of God for the people of God.
The body of Christ, given for you.
Thanks be to God.
The blood of Christ, shed for you.
Thanks be to God.

*Dismissed to Serve
As you have been fed at this table, go to feed the hungry.
As you have been set free, go to set free the imprisoned.
As you have received, give.
As you have heard, proclaim.
And the blessing that you have received from Father, Son and Holy Spirit be always with you.
And also with you. Amen.
*We Give Glory to God
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever.
Amen.

Sign up sheets listing places, times and ways to serve are on the table in the foyer. Please consider where you can best help and sign up for the areas you are willing to work. There’s a place for everyone to help. Also, you are the best advertisements we have. Invite your neighbors and friends to join you at the Festival. And pray that God will again bless us with a beautiful day as we welcome our neighbors to Valley Church.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE FROM COUNCIL:
If you didn’t do so last week, please check your mail today slot for an important communication from Council. You will find a cover letter introducing some key parts of our pastoral transition planning, along with two documents you are asked to fill out and return to your council team when they meet with you to get your input on Valley’s future direction. There are also some extra copies available on the information center.
