We know that nothing is able to separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ. Let us in freedom confess the wrong we have done.
Prayer of Confession
Jesus, who sat at the table with outcasts and sinners, we confess that too often our words and actions are not consistent with our beliefs. Too often we ignore the needy, show indifference to the lonely, and reject those who seem different from us. Forgive us, we pray. Empower us to reach out in love and acceptance through your name. Amen.

Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Come, then, to the joyful feast of our Lord.
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right for us to give thanks and praise.
We give thanks to God the Father that our Savior, Jesus Christ, before he went to the cross, gave us this memorial of his sacrifice, until he comes again. At his last supper, the Lord Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup after supper and said, “This is the new covenant in my blood; do this in remembrance of me.” For whenever we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Praise to you, Lord Jesus:
Dying, you destroyed our death;
rising, you restored our life.
Lord Jesus, come in glory.
God of all power, send your Holy Spirit upon us, that in sharing the bread we may share in the body of Christ, that in sharing the cup we may share in his blood. Grant that, being joined together in Christ Jesus, we may become united in faith and in all things become mature in the one who is our head.
Amen.
The bread that we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.
We who are many are one body, for we all share the same loaf.
The cup for which we give thanks is a sharing in the blood of Christ.
The cup that we drink is our participation in the blood of Christ.
The gifts of God for the people of God.
Receive them in remembrance that Christ died for you and feed on him in your hearts by faith, with thanksgiving.
The body of Christ, given for you.
Thanks be to God.
The blood of Christ, shed for you.
Thanks be to God.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Our worship this morning includes the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. This gift of our Lord Jesus is for all who have publicly professed that Jesus is their savior and who are seeking to live the life he wants them to live. If this describes you, please receive the bread and cup when they are passed and eat and drink with the group after all have been served.
Plan your schedules so you can be in church on Sunday, August 2, when we will be hosting the Van Dam family, our missionaries in Haiti. There will be a dinner at church that day so we can get better acquainted and give them our blessing before they return to Haiti. Two weeks later Sunday, August 16 we will welcome the Lapian family, as they share their ministry with the Indonesian community in New Hampshire. This is also the date for our annual church picnic following the morning service. More details will follow.
Wednesday, 6:00 AM Men’s Breakfast and Bible study at the Spot
At the urging of several people the worship ministry team has purchased two hand-held microphones. People who wish to share a prayer request or make an announcement during the service will use them so they can be heard more clearly by others in the congregation. When the opportunity for sharing is given, there will be deacons or ushers in the back ready to hand you a microphone before you speak. We will try this for a while and see if this helps alleviate the situation of people not hearing what prayer requests or announcements are being shared.
Have you noticed the cross migrating to several positions on the church grounds? After several placements, you will be able to see pictures of each spot and then you will be able to give feedback to the facilities team and council as to which placement best accents our vision of “Shining Christ’s Light in Our Valley”.
We still need help with children’s church during the rest of the summer, You can do this for a Sunday or two – you don’t need to commit to a whole month. There are videos to show and snacks to serve. Thank you to all who have already served, allowing those who have led this for the last year to have a summer break. Contact Ron or Janet Crawford or Claire Krempel if you are willing to help.
