Preparation for Worship
*Call to Worship
God of the past, who has created and nurtured us,
we are here to thank you.
God of the future, who is always ahead of us,
we are here to thank you.
God of the present, who is here in the midst of us,
we are here to thank you.
God of life, who is beyond us and within us,
we rejoice in your glorious love.

The apostle John wrote:
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (I John 2:1-2)
In the strength of this assurance, we sing of our pardon and assurance.

Opportunities for Ministry and Fellowship
*Blessed to Serve
As you have been fed at this table, go to feed the hungry.
As you have been set free, go to set free the imprisoned.
As we have received, we give.
As we have heard, we proclaim.
And the blessing that you have received from Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be always with you.
Amen.
*Parting Song – 548:3 “Then in Fellowship Sweet”

ANNOUNCEMENTS
We are observing the Lord’s Supper this morning. Communion is a blessing to all who have professed Jesus as their personal Savior and who are living in obedience to his lordship. If this describes you, please join us in receiving the bread and juice as they are passed and eating and drinking with the rest after all have been served.
We will also celebrate the sacrament of baptism this morning. Kenny, Kendya and Cheryska Pierre-Louis will be baptized. Praise God for the working of the Holy Spirit and for God’s faithfulness to believers and their children.
Sunday, 5:00 PM Softball game at KAA with Don’s Automotive team
Monday, 7:00 PM Elders meet
Wednesday, 6:00 AM Men’s breakfast and Bible study at the Spot
Wednesday, 11:30 AM Women’s luncheon at Cracker Barrel
We still need more helpers with children’s church for the summer months. The summer program involves showing and discussing a video and serving a snack. The videos for each week are listed on the sign up sheet on the door. This is a great opportunity for people who do not usually teach a class or lead the children’s church to give the regulars a break. Sign up for a week or two – the list is on the door. Thank you to those who are already signed up.
There are sign up sheets on the door where you can indicate which summer Sunday you will provide some after-service refreshments. Since worship starts earlier during July and August, there is also more time following to stay for a bite and conversation, but only if volunteers sign up to provide them. The Fellowship team appreciates your help in this.
Jerry Krempel is home from the hospital. Pray that the transition back home goes well and that he will continue to regain strength and mobility.
Matt Martinichio continues to recover from his accident and subsequent surgery. Hopefully he has returned home by the time you read this. He and his family thank God for answering many prayers on Matt’s behalf.
We extend our sympathy to the Stoddard families on the death of their mother and grandmother Barbara Stoddard. May the promises of God’s Word sustain them in their loss.
Council notes:
1. Pastor Gelder led the devotions.
